Dragon Dominion Mode — free expansion set (open beta testing)

Before long, dragon breeding became an unstoppable craze across the entire kingdom. Every village, every family, and every ambitious lord sought to claim their own winged sentinel, eager to wield its power.
Clans that once lived in cautious harmony now turned their attention beyond their borders, using their dragons to extend their influence over neighboring valleys. At first, it was a mere show of strength—majestic beasts circling overhead, a silent warning to rivals. But soon, contests turned to skirmishes, and skirmishes to outright battles.
What had begun as a marvel quickly became a race for dominance, and the once-peaceful valley stood on the brink of a new age—one where those who mastered dragons would rule, and those who did not would be left in their shadow.

How to play

Setup
Get ready for a game of Dragon in the Hut as usual, but before shuffling the cards, give each player a Hut.
Print the selected map and the Hut tokens. The board is a hexagonal map where each hex represents a territory and can host a Hut.
At the start of the game, the first player chooses their starting city. The remaining players then choose in turn order, but must select the closest available city to another player’s. If there is a tie in distance (measured in hexes), the player can choose their preferred city among the closest options.
Players mark the Hut space of their starting city with their initials (or another chosen symbol). They then place the Hut received at the beginning of the game into play.
The hex containing a player’s starting city cannot be claimed by other players.

Gameplay Changes
Claiming Territories
Whenever a player builds a Hut, they must choose an adjacent hex (next to a previously claimed hex or their hometown) to place it on.
The player marks the Hut checkbox to show that the hex is claimed.
Assigning Huts on the Map
When you place a Hut into play, assign it a numbered token and write the same number in the corresponding Hut box on the map, preceded by your initial (for example, “C1” for Claudio’s first Hut).
This system helps you always keep track of which card is linked to which hex on the map, making it easier to manage effects and interactions during the game.
Hatching a Dragon
When an Egg hatches, the player checks the Dragon checkbox on the hex where the Egg was located. The hex is now occupied.
As long as the Dragon remains on that territory, the hex is claimed and occupied by that player (future expansions might enable players to remove hatched Dragons).

Winning the Game
The first player to claim and occupy three connected hexes with a Dragon, wins the game!
Additional Notes
- Players may use strategy to block opponents from connecting their territories.
- Removing a Hut from a hex that’s not occupied by a Dragon (through normal gameplay mechanics) means the hex is no longer controlled by that player. Other players can now claim and occupy it.
- All other standard game rules apply.
Will you be the first to dominate the land with your dragons? 🔥🐉
